My Career

     My name is Christian R. Ornelas. I would like to specialize as a sales manager. As a sales manager I would be responsible for coordinating the efforts of an entire sales organization, and held accountable for a team’s ability to meet their sales goals. I would need to have an intimate knowledge of the dynamics of making a sale and closing the deal. I would also need to know how to analyze market trends and financial statements to put together an effective and comprehensive sales plan. To get a job as a sales manager it is stressed  a lot that I have a lot of sales training and experience in the sales business. While most employers prefer sales manager candidates with a combination of experience and education, it’s most desirable to have at least five years of previous sales experience, although a sales representative with fewer years in the field but a history proven results will certainly be considered. In terms of education, many companies favor sales manager applicants with a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising or other similar fields.
   I believe I can reach my goal as a sales manager because I think I'm the type of person who can easily get used to that field of work. I like to figure trends, patterns, and come up with future predictions. I find it really satisfying to be correct on my predictions. I can also work with people really well and express an idea and teach others what they have to do. At first I will have to climb the ladder of the job, meaning that I will have to work my way up from a lower position before I can reach my throne as the sales manager that I would like to be.
   I would really like to become a sales manager because I believe that I can easily specialize in the field of work. Although a lot of responsibility will placed on my shoulders, I believe that I can maintain the position and do my job correctly under many different circumstances and pressure. I don't necissarily need to become a sales manager for me to be happy, all I am really hoping for is for a good amount of income to support the family I dream I having with the girl I love and also have enough to send back home and support my parents who by the time I am able to reach my goal will already be old to work for themselves. In a different light, it really isn't about the money. I want to make the people around me proud of me. I haven't really established a career for my future, but I want to be the type of person that everyone can look up to for motivation.
    According to a BLS report, sales managers earned a median annual salary of about $96,790 in May 2009. Those in the middle 50% bracket earned between $65,210 and $141,430 a year, while the top 10% of all sales managers had an annual income in excess of $166,400. To achieve the top sales manager salaries, you need to deliver the results to earn them. An investment in advanced sales management training will usually pay dividends in terms of salary and bonus potential.

Syria is starving Palestinian refugees in Damascus's Yarmouk

The image and it's impact on public opinion

In March 11, 2014 in Damascus a city in Syria, thousands of Palestinian refugees are waiting to for relief food provided by the United Nations. When the reports of this incident hits the news people are surprised to see the way people are suffering. This affects on public opinion by stirring up Twitter. There has been over 23 millions retweets about the suffering of the Palestinian refugees. They have even started #letusthrough to attempt helping these people along with many others. When Syria's civil war erupted , Yarmouk was neutral, but staying above the fray soon proved impossible. Most camp residents fled, but the 18,000 with nowhere to go burned their furniture to cook cats, dogs and donkeys, a practice that a local imam licensed for want of alternative food.

The story behind the Civil War on Palestine 

In June 2007, a Palestinian terrorist organization launched a coup in the Gaza strip, to take control of territory from the Fatah faction. In the battle that followed, 161 Palestinians were killed and more than 700 were wounded. The aggressors, the Hamas made sure the wounded would not return to the battlefield by shooting their enemies in the legs and arms at point blank range to ensure permanent disabilities. The result of the battle left the Palestinian people divided. The Gaza strip remained the to the Hamas and the Fatah had control over the West Bank. The two Palestinian factions still remain in a state of conflict. They round up political foes and shut down newspapers. There has been reported torture on both sides. Other powers from Egypt, Turkey, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Mauritania have all tried to stop the fighting between the two factions but all attempts at peace have failed .

Our opinion on the whole situation 

We think this article about the civil war was really terrifying. There's a lot of people getting injured and killed because of the war. The fact that normal people, civilians have to flee from their homes because others decide to cause war is a terrible concept to understand. The people that you see on the image from the first article are far from their home and are now suffering from something that they did not cause or deserve. The media has been scarce on information about these events but when photos like these get shown it really opens your eyes to be more sympathetic to the people who are less fortunate.

Who I Am

My name is Christian Ornelas. I am 15 years old as of now. In May the fifth I will turn 16 and I'm hype for that. In the future I don't really know what I'm going to do, but I am told I still have time to think about it. After High School I plan to either enlist in the army or work with my dad for 3 years . Then it's time to go to college for, however long it takes to get something good.

      The main purpose in using iDevices during school hours is to take pictures to capture a moment or an experience that we as students have in school such as an activity or a project.

Intent is important because it describes the photographer's purpose in the taking the photo. It shows the intentions and how that person is going to use the photo.

Yes it can, if you are taking a photograph of a protest or a riot and your intent is just to record and make sure it is known then it's okay.

Copyright laws protect a creator of work by stating that as long a piece of work is "fixed" then the creator has full ownership and any other work done by others is a violation of copyright.

It is important to label the time and place of a photograph truthfully because that photograph is a reminder and proof that what is on that image is real .

_7.             What should someone use to label a photograph that has been altered by merging two or more images into one photograph or by extensive enhancement by filters and other means?

A photograph that has been altered should have a cite of the original work or given credit to creator of work.

8.      Explain how making photograph portrait “selfies” fulfill or not fulfill the intent of Socrates when he said “An unexamined life is not worth living.

 "An unexamined life is not worth living" means to me that if one doesn't realize the purpose of himself or have no sense of direction then he isn't "living". So by taking a self portrait a person stops to realize his existence and the way he wants to live it. Self portraits being a way the self can see the person he is.
